I simply can’t believe that in 2013 NHL players are still resisting mandatory visors. Aside from the fact that it’s basically an asinine argument that’s puts machismo ahead of safety, the very concept of visors being “uncomfortable” and saying they limit vision is foolish. If players weren’t forced to wear full cages until they hit junior, maybe they’d have a point, but the very fact that every single player in every single minor league pretty much everywhere in the world grows up with facial protection defeats that argument.

It’s simply nonsense and the NHLPA needs to put its members’ safety first.
